who i am:
i think the most effective way to really learn the true nature of someone is to experience it first hand. saying that, i guess it’s only fair that i at least try to sum up who i think i am, who i strive to be, and how i plan to reach my goals.
i am a freelance, self taught, and continuously learning photographer. i try to capture the essence of people, places and things in maybe a not so conventional way, and then i shake it up just a little to give it a dash of fenner. i also have the ability to take direction, suggestion and criticism, and thoughtfully turn it into positive and aesthetically pleasing image.
in my dreams i aspire to master my craft, make an honest living from it, and expose my vision to the masses. for now i am happy to be creating, and receiving praise and giving pleasure to the people who surround me daily, my friends and my family and a small but loyal client base.
what i do:
simply put, i take photographs. i can manipulate images. i have done weddings, and portraits and head shots and snap shots. i have covered live music, sporting events, special occasions and family celebrations. i make art, capture moments in time, modify reality, and document daily occurrences.
how i do it:
depending on the situation i approach my subject(s) in one of two ways. if i am going to be working with you for any length of time i prefer to build a relationship first. taking someone’s photograph is usually much easier when they are comfortable with the person sticking a lens in their face.
then there is the street photography approach of the art of candid photography. some folks (critters included) are more at ease when they are unaware of the photograph being taken.
